Cinderelli, Cinderelli......
Katie played Cinderella in her high school musical this last weekend and did so great! We were both so impressed by her singing and acting the part. She looked absolutely amazing on stage and really stole the show. I'm so proud of her, it takes big guts to get up there and do what she did. Plus she's really talented!Peter wore a sign that said, "Cinderella is my sister." It was a huge hit! It was really cute to watch him though, he really was so proud of her. He got a kick out of people asking for her autograph that he decided to get his own.
Bummer Thursday
Look what I did to my tire. Lame! I was trying to park on the street and didn't see this jagged edge sticking out from the curb. Double lame!
Double Date
Two weekends ago Peter's sister, Kim, invited Peter and I to go on a double date with her and her boyfriend to a Wizards game. It was really sweet of her and we had a really good time. We started out with dinner at Chevy's (can't go wrong with that), then took the metro into the city for the game. They were playing the Sacramento Kings, so we would have been happy with either team winning. The Wizards won though! It was great to spend a night out with Kim and John, we are definitely going to miss Kim when she leaves for college.
Learning to use Fondant
Our friends, Matt and Corie, came out a few Fridays ago to celebrate Peter's birthday and to teach us the art of fondant. We made the fondant and then each couple decorated a cake. It was really cool to learn how to make it and use it. I probably enjoyed it more because Peter had to do all the manual labor behind rolling it and hand mixing the color in. We had a good time though. The theme for the cakes was Peter (since it was his birthday), as you can probably tell. The woman on the cake is me!

Happy Birthday to Peter
Yesterday was Peter's Birthday and so we made a party of it. We went over to his family's house where his mother and I made his favorite meal, homemade gyoza and rice. These gyoza are not like any you've tasted before, they have crab, shrimp, and pork inside. They are ridiculously good. Peter's Mom also made shrimp and vegetable tempura. It was a feast for all and Peter loved it! He said yesterday, "The best birthday presents are the ones you can eat." Does that sound like Peter or what?!We ended the night with a little American Idol and a chocolate turtle cake. Thanks for having a birthday Peter, so we could have a celebration. Love you.

Last Day
Today is my last day of being full time at my job. I will stay on just for a couple more weeks part time to help them hire and train my replacement. It doesn't really seem real that I won't be coming into the office again until Wednesday, I like it though!

Christmas 2009
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of pictures, but our Christmas was so fun. We headed out to Utah to visit my family. We spent our time playing games, opening presents, eating, snowboarding, sledding, seeing Temple Square, snowmobiling, watching football, seeing movies, etc. It was pack full of activities and it was so nice to get some good quality time with the family. Everything is white with snow there and so the scenery wasn't bad either. Plus my sister's boyfriend and his kids joined us for a few days, so we got to get to know them a little bit more.
Lots-O-Fun!

Sunday before Christmas
Due to the crazy weather we had, the Sunday before Christmas was a fun one. First, we had to dig ourselves out, then we went to Peter's parents for a day of fun. Our church was canceled and so was theirs, so we decided to make a party out of it. We had a little spiritual chat and then went out SLEDDING! Because what else do you do when church is canceled?!
