Only 1 month!

Only 1 month left until I get married. I am so excited I can barely handle it. Honestly, when I stop and think about it I kind of get giddy (or googely bear as my sister would say). Why am I so excited to marry Peter you ask:

1. He is hilarious! He's very witty and uses big words and it's so great. You should play catch phrase with him.

2. He makes me so at peace. In all of my relationships and throughout most of my life I've been kind of anxious, but with Peter I just feel happy and at peace. (Minus when we're trying to make a budget for our future, then the anxiousness creeps in.)

3. Because Peter makes me better than I am on my own. I constantly want to improve for him and with him. I know Peter will bring this about with our children as well.

4. I'm excited to marry Peter because he strives constantly to live a higher standard, constantly trying to discover truth and how to live by it better.

5. Peter treats me with great respect. Peter still opens the door for me after all these years. He is always checking in with me to see if there is something I need or to make sure my toes are covered by the blanket when we're snuggling on the couch. He asks me my opinion on things and really listens.

6. I can't wait to marry Peter because then I get to spend time with my best friend and not have to drive home at the end of the night.

7. Because I want a family of my own and I know Peter will be a loving, fun, consistent, hard working father. (4 in 4 right Pete?)

8. Because I am most happy when I am with Peter.

9. And I feel protected and loved when I'm with him.

10. I especially am excited to find out what other nicknames he'll come up with for me throughout the rest of our lives!

I mean just look at him, he's darling!

Updates

I can't believe it's been a month since I last posted. Time goes by so quickly. So here are a few updates since the last time I wrote:

- I have been traveling for work like crazy and have been gone every other week since being engaged. I've been to North Dakota twice, Idaho, New York and I'm currently in South Dakota. Apparently Yankton (where I am) is the Cow Capital of South Dakota. Oh yeah!

- Peter and I don't get to spend a lot of time together since I'm gone all the time, but we're still happy and excited to get married.

- We took engagement pictures.

- We're in the middle of buying our first place. They have accepted our offer and we're just getting our financing and all the paperwork in order. It's in Reston, VA just about 25 minutes from D.C.

- My cousin Brooke got engaged and is getting married July 25. Whewhew! Trent makes her so happy. I'm so excited for the two of them and can't wait to celebrate with them.

- My mom called to tell me yesterday that the Bachelorette party with my her, my sister and G'ma has been scheduled at the spa two days before the wedding. I can't wait!

- Only a couple more weeks until my brother comes home from his mission on June 12.

- Peter and I get married 1 month from tomorrow. It's hard to believe it's happening so soon. I could not be more excited to marry this man. I've grown an even greater appreciation for him over the last few months as we have tried to plan the wedding and our future and he has really done so much work. Since I'm gone so much he gets left with all the errands to run. I love how he just gets it done!

- I've moved out of my place. Yep, I've move out of my single life with roommates and a significant amount of independence. It really started to hit me that I'm really getting married as I moved out and realized that I'll never be moving back in with roommates. I've been living on my own with roommates for the last 10 years. There is lots to learn and lots of adjustments to be made as Peter and I start this new chapter in our lives.

- Wedding plans are pretty much done. I am surprised at how fast we were able to accomplish everything. I'm especially grateful to my Mom for doing all the work in Utah for this wedding. I'm often amazed at how efficient and cool-n-collective my Mother is. I know she's been like this my entire life, but it always amazes me.

I think that's all I have to talk about right now. There are many exciting things happening though and so I'll try to keep everyone updated. Love you all.
