My good friend Shelley moved away from D.C. this last weekend. Shelley and I used to be roommates last year and I absolutely adore her. She is always willing to join in on the fun, she never complains, and is so free spirited. We used to joke that Shelley had a secret life because she'd been gone for hours and hours and no one would ever know where she went. And when she got back she would be super vague about what she was doing.
Shelley was always very giving and unselfish. She taught me to just relax and enjoy who I am. She didn't teach me how to make cookies or orange julius, but she did teach me that someone can live in a room they can't really walk through. In order to send Shelley off we had a weekend of celebration. First we had a dessert party at her house and then off to the Skydome for dancing.
We love the Skydome because it's never too crowded, they play great music and it overlooks the city and monuments. The next morning we headed out to Carlyle's for a fancy, pancy brunch. Love you Shels!
