Ever get sick of working?
I'm getting really bored with working everyday. It just becomes so routine and I don't love it. Is this just how it is as an adult?

Did you know....

that if you mix these two candies (Sour Patch Kids and Twizzlers) together, you've get an EXTRA delicious treat? This has honestly been one of my favorite candy combinations for years now. I love it and even crave it often (even though I'm suppose to be an adult now). It seems to somehow make everything happy again. You should try it sometime.

A happy day
Two Sundays ago was a really happy day. I was in San Diego attending church with my Aunt and one of my good friends from high school, Michelle, walked in with her family. I have not seen her in several years although we have corresponded briefly over that time.
Of course we chatted for a while after the meeting and I can't stop thinking about it. My friend Michelle has since gotten married to a great guy, joined the LDS church, and now has two kids of her own. It was so great to sit down and catch up on all the details of her life. I wish I could describe to you how happy she was. I could just tell on her face and in her voice as she described her life and being a mom. It made me so happy to see this. I can't seem to stop thinking about it and I'm getting emotional even writing about this. I just feel this burst of joy thinking about how happy she is and all the changes and blessing she has in her life.
I've spent my entire life hoping that others could feel the joy I have in my life. I chose my profession because of that, I served a mission for the LDS church, and try to be a good person for that very reason. Life is about having joy and to see that someone I care about gets that and has that in her life; it just brings me even greater happiness. It reminded me once again how much joy we can receive from knowing and following Jesus Christ and through family life.

Congratulations to these Two
Marianne (Peter's sister) just got engaged to a Mr. Bradley Jurgensmeier and we are so excited for these two. Marianne is all giggles around this boy and it's great to see her so happy. You deserve it Marianne! Plus, Brad seems to be a solid guy who treats her right. We're excited to have you in the family Brad!
We just bought our tickets to fly out for the celebration and are so excited. There will be many family fun outings in Idaho and Utah surrounding this wedding in July and we can't wait!

Family Fun Weekend
After returning from San Diego we had a pretty low key weekend. I'll be honest, it mainly consisted of Peter doing the taxes, cleaning the house and doing the laundry while I took multiple naps.
On Saturday evening though we headed out for a showing of the Briar Woods High School production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Peter's little sister Katie was Violet in the play. It was actually really funny and entertaining. Of course Katie is hilarious and really stole the spotlight in her scenes.
On Sunday we celebrated Peter's Dad's Birthday. We had a great meal, watched some basketball (well, I actually took another nap), and then had yummy cake. I captured some of the family mid- song in this picture and I love it!
Peter's Dad is a very smart, very generous man. We have learned a great deal from him and are grateful we live close enough to continue to learn from him and have fun together with the entire family.
San Diego
This last week Peter and I went to San Diego for his Spring Break. It was a great get away from everyday life. The weather was so pleasant and warm. We sat around a lot, visited with lots of family, played games, went to the beach, and ate at all of my favorite places. Of course, we hit some of them (In-N-Out) more than once.
Every time I'm in San Diego I just am so happy and feel so at home, even though it has been so long since I've lived there. It was great to be able to show Peter where we use to live, my High School and talk about the good ol' days. Peter's grandparents along with mine and some cousins live out there and so it was so great to spend quality time with them. I even got to go to a baby shower of a friend of mine from high school, which was so fun. It was great to see how surprised everyone was when I walked in.
One of the things I love most about San Diego is just sitting outside enjoying the sunset or the perfect weather and reading a book. It was a great trip and definitely hard to come back to work and school.
this last weekend, Peter asked me to marry him. Life has only gotten oh so much better since.
